Condition/Treatment
This seal had been mended earlier with new wax. It was cracked into several pieces while being on display. The undyed original wax shows the well known phenomenon of flaking delamination.
These parts were stabilized with an apt consolidant. All broken parts were connected to each other with undyed beeswax. The seal was finally reconnected to the charter.
