Condition/Treatment
Inadequate repairs very often lead to further damage of text block and binding. Self-adhesive tapes were meant to prevent the loss of the spine but caused more damage to the cover paper.
After removal of tape and all tacking residues, a new spine was built and corners were covered with calf leather.
